What you have below you is my life. I am the way I am because of the artists and poets I embraced as a kid. It remains to be seen if this hippy bohemian lifestyle was a good choice or not. I still maintain it is better to love someone than kill them, wait that was George Carlin, but still! Without this music I would probably not be here now, I sure as hell would not be wasting my time on a non-commercial website for free. The Beatles told me all I need was love, Frank Zappa told be brown shoes don’t make it. I never needed Erma Bombeck! I picked some of my favorite songs, they all open in a new window or, you can right click and save them and listen later. The largest file is 2.5mb, most are around 1mb, they are all 48kbps. I added a little why I picked the song, but figured if you really wanted to know you could write me. By now you may have figured out I talk a lot, and I guarantee you the songs here were no accident.

Another note, I have over 32,600 songs on this computer, I have been building this library for quite some time and yes I have all the cd’s and albums, everywhere I got shit everywhere! It is so convenient to have it all in one place! There are still tons of records to do, but the scum (record companies) are making more of the old catalogs available to us. I don’t include Rhino in scum they seem to care for the music, but who really knows?

Also of note, when we got married in 79 we merged record collections, the thousand or so I had and the few hundred she had only 4 duplicate albums between us! This was great because I had never heard any Steeley Dan that wasn’t on the radio, or Warren Zevon, or Poco or Jerry Jeff. So this is my loss leader to all of you, listen and see if any of these artists stir anything in you, a cd of may lead to the path of inner peace!

The Pajama Game - Racing With the Clock.mp3 But this is my favorite musical, TIME IS MONEY!
Well this started by having 2 slots open, the last 2 cd's and my host upping the storage. I thought about what was missing the first time, and what to add? Things got out of hand and here are 30 more. I'll leave this part text based even though I think it is fun to click and discover!
Althia and Donna - Uptown Top Ranking.mp3
This one hails from the history of Jamaican music box set. I would listen to the reggae chanel on the dish and my wife got the box for me. Tons of good things on there you have never heard, I like this one a lot!
Blind Faith - Can't Find My Way Home.mp3
Eric has always been one of my favorites, man how I wish they did more than one album. All the cuts were stellar on this album!
Ed Sanders- The Illiad.mp3
I found this on a loss leader, it quickly became one of my all time favorites! I got the kid singing this as well!
J Giels - Love-Itis.mp3
I don't remember how I got in to J giels? They really turned out some fine work in the mid 70's. Danny the guy on bass went to valley in Hillsdale with my sister.
Steve Goodman - Men Who Love Women.mp3
I know Goodman from the Vin Scelsa show, he has some good things out there. No need to explain why I picked this one.
The Beatles - In My Life.mp3
Rubber Soul was my favorite Beatles album.
The Beatles - While My Guitar Gently Weeps.mp3
Actually there wasn't a bad Beatles album, cept for maybe the let it be naked cd. Kinda refreshing that the kids are listening to "one", I keep leaving the Cd's around so they can enjoy the rest of the work too!
The Bee Gees - I Started a Joke.mp3
The whole disco thing really turned me off the BG's, but now that I am distanced by horrid stuff that came afterwards, I don't mind the "fever" stuff. The old things were and are still great.
The Byrds - Eight Miles High.mp3
Where would we be without the byrds? This and rock and roll star I think are tops for me. Hell I didn't even know back then that Crosby was a byrd, I almost cut my hair.
The Doobie Brothers - Natural Thing.mp3
I have a tape of the doobies where they talk about the odd tuning they used, I know I like them, even later when it was the Michael McDonald show.
The Doobie Brothers - Rockin' Down the Highway.mp3
It was hard to pick these too, these hail from the box set. I put in an old cd at work one day and we all had to stop and listen. WTF happened to the doobies on the radio?
The Doors - Alabama Song (Whiskey Bar).mp3
I have all the doors stuff, I wanted to include ones that get over looked.
The Doors - I Can't See Your Face in My Mind.mp3
I got to go to the release party at SIR studios when American Prayer came out. That was cool!
The Doors - Runnin' Blue.mp3
I can put on all these albums and just let them go on and on.
The Hollies - Stop, Stop, Stop.mp3
I had to pick form a lot hear too. Carry Ann, Bus Stop, King Midas. I like the imagery in this one.
The Kinks - A Rock 'N' Roll Fantasy.mp3
If ever rock had an anthem this is it!
The Kinks - Rush Hour Blues.mp3
This is from one of my favorite Kink Records, Soap Opera. I seldom go a day without thinking of these lines. And man do the kinks have a lot of great songs, I wanted to include Ape Man too, just for the line "the air pollution is fuckin up my eyes!" I worked them at the auditorium, I say work, it was a dream!
The Moody Blues - Question.mp3
Why do I never get an answer? I never had any Moodies as a kid this stuff is also off the box set.
The Moody Blues - Tuesday Afternoon (Forever Afternoon).mp3
I don't know why I just like this one and had to pick.
The Moody Blues - Your Wildest Dreams.mp3
I first came to know this from the video, which is odd and over my head. I really like the construction and idea of this song, I kinda live there too.
The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band - Buy for Me the Rain.mp3
I don’t have much for these guys on Cd, if you can find the album “uncle charley and his dog teddy” that is one fine piece of work. They did the definitive Mr Bojangles! Symphonium Dreams is also great!
The Rolling Stones - Angie.mp3
I saw I had not used any stones, it was for space limits not a snub. I had sticky fingers in the hospital with me, I had never listened through the headphones. It adds a bunch to them, or was it the drugs I was on?
The Rolling Stones - Can't You Hear Me Knocking.mp3
Believe me it is hard to pick just a few stones songs, I think this won over short and curlies and luxury because of the instrumental part, I think it is the longest one here as well.
The Strawbs - Hero and Heroine.mp3
I remember the lyrics to this after 30 years. I always like the strawbs. Remember, Where do you go when you need a hole to crawl in? Remember last time you heard Strawbs on the radio?
The Who - 5:15.mp3
Quadrophenia is one of my all time favorite albums, I wanted to put one in from it. I have video up of Moon doing bell boy, so I picked 515. Sea and sand was in the running, hell there is nothing bad on there.
The Who - Join Together.mp3
If you remember this was only released as a 45 or b side or something. It was really hard to get, until they started whoring all the who stuff. I don't think any band has more complations for sale. Still maybe not as bad as what they did to Jimi.
Todd Rundgren - Black and White.mp3
Hear again when I have one of my favorite artists it is really hard to pick something to represent what he has done. This is off Faithful.
Todd Rundgren - Couldn't I Just Tell You.mp3
This is from Something/Anything it was the first I got. I just got this on a greatest hits and heard it again after so many years and was WOW! Turn it up!
Todd Rundgren - Sometimes I Don't Know What To Feel.mp3
A wizard a true star! How cool a title! These are must have albums folks!
